Activities - Summary of the Association’s achievements since its establishment

During the year 2002 the first contacts with the Wodaabe groups were established. Attending their numerous petitions it was decided to help in the most basic necessities, such as the lack of water and schooling. From then on, the necessary economic resources and the different work methods were taken into consideration.

 
2003
- The Bicorawa group from Ingaga (comprising approximately 860 people). First phase in the building of a well for this group.
- Purchase of educational materials for the nomadic school of the Wodaabe in Ingaga.
- Purchase and delivery of medical equipment and medicines to the Regional Hospital of Agadez.
- Payment for the final excavation and cementing of an existing but uncompleted well for the Bingawa group in the Wodaabe settlement of Foudouk (comprising approximately 370 people).
- Bicorawa group from Ingaga: payment of the second part for the conclusion of the well.
- Purchase of a well belonging to the Tuareg Moussa Mohamed for the Wodaabe group of Oro-Mokao (comprising approximately 460 people) situated approximately 7 km. from Mararaba.
- Delivery of medicines to the Regional Hospital of Agadez.

2004
- The Association participates economically in the I Assemblée Général Peuls Wodaabe du Niger in Taggodoum, with assistance of 4.600 people.
- Evaluation of the wells of the Wodaabe groups in Foudouk, Ingaga and Oro.
- Delivery of the school material to the village of Azaramakara in order to foment the integration of the Wodaabe children of the Bicorawa group in the next school year. At the same time, financing of private tuition for reading and writing in French to some adults of the Bicorawa group.
- Promotion of several initiatives for the Wodaabe women in Foudouk.
- Financing the repair of a well belonging to a Tuareg, Diko Asadekn situated near the settlements of Foudouk and Oro.
- Provision and delivery of medicines to the Regional Hospital of Agadez and the dispensary of Azaramakara (Niger), the Hospital Kebede Abebe of Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Souro Sanou of Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), and Hospital de San Juan de Dios of Tanguiéta (Benin).
 
    
 
2005
- The Association participates in the II Asemblée Générale Peuls Wodaabe du Niger in Foudouk, with the assistance of 2.500 people, group chiefs and the presidents of the different Wodaabe Ashttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.bold.gifsociations. During the Assembly Doula Mokao presents publicly the Asociación Wodaabe-Niger of Barcelona to Ibrhaim Oumaru, Sultan of Aïr.
- Provision and delivery of medicines to the dispensary of Azaramakara.
- Agreement to continue financing private tuition to several Bicorawa adults from Ingaga in the school of Azamarakara.
- Financing a new well for the Degeereghe group of Egharaf situated at 70 km. from Tchinta-Baraden and composed by 1.714 people belonging to 6 tribes. This group has been practising agriculture for the last 3 years.
- Doula Mokao is designated coordinator and go-between the Wodaabe and the Association.
- Inauguration of the well built for the Bicorawa group in Ingaga.
- The Pottol-Horé group of the ardo Maranda (comprising approximately 560 people) requests a well. In the zone of Tourouf.
 
2006
- The building of the well for the Pottol Hore group is postponed due to the deaths of the ardo Maranda and his brother.
- Inauguration of the Egharaf well.
- Financing the equipment and installation of an irrigation system in Taggodoum, situated 50 km. southwest of Ingall.
- Beginning of the first phase in the building of a well in the Gapali-Effe zone, situated 65 km. south of Foudouk, (comprising approximately 2000 people belonging to 10 tribes).
- Improvement and building of four drinking troughs for the Oro well.
- Financing the conclusion of a well under construction in Tarmasala Peul (comprising approximately 300 people).
- Financial help to pay part of a well for the Badjhe Altine group in Izeran I, situated 15 km. south from the Oro group.
- Financing the repair of the Gorse well situated 2 km. from Foudouk.
- Donation to the Association des Handicapeés Locomoteurs de Agadez. Being Badjhe Abdou its president.
 
   
 
2007
- Delivery of school material for Intakal situated at 12 km. from Bermo and for the school of Taggoudoum.
- Delivery of school material to Foudouk and seeds of Nilotic Acacia to be planted in order to use its pods to feed the animals.
- Financing of the second phase of the repair of Diko Asadek’s well.
- Contribution to the Association des Handicapeés Locomoteurs de Agadez.
-Evaluation of the irrigation system in Tagoudoum with excellent results in their crops.
- Beginning of the first phase in the building of a well in Tagdom Tchoel, for the Pottol Hore group of the deceased ardo Maranda, for 5 tribe chiefs comprising approximately 600 people.
- Finishing of the four drinking troughs in the Oro group well.
- Second and finishing phase in the construction of the Galapi- Effe well.
- Second phase in the helping repair the Gorse well situated 2 km. from Foudouk.
- Inauguration of the Tarmasala- Peul well.
- The building of the En- Abba well is postponed due to the potentiality for conflict of the zone where it would be situated, and the difficulty in its excavation.
- Financial help to pay part of the Shinagoro well, near Aderbissanat, for the Bado Wagaya group (comprising 40 families).
- Payment of the excavation and cementing of 15 more metres in the existing and functioning well of Tagayene I, where the next IV Assembleé General Peul Wodaabe du Niger will take place.
- Financing the repair of a well belonging to the Tuareg Ibrahim Ghisse, situated 30 km. from Amataltal.
- Provision and delivery of medicines to the Regional Hospital of Agadez and to the Kebede Abebe of Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).
- Financial help to buy the Izeran II well situated 2 km. from the Izeran I well (bought last year by our association) for several Bingawa groups.
 
    Foudouk - Oro
 
2008
- Provision and deliveryof medicines to Abalak District Dispensary, Dr. Youssout Harouna, to the Bermo Hospital, and to the Regional Hospital of Agadez.
- Monthly contribution give to, Abdou Massalabi, president of the Association du Handicepes Locomoteurs of Agadez, for the the continuity of their centre. Purchase of two sewing machines and delivery of spectacles to the optician and secretary of the association.
- Financing of the second phase of repair and cementation of the Tagayet I well (600 people).
- Last payment of the Tagdoum Tcholel well (Pottol Hore group). Still a few metres are needed in order to find water.
- The Association participates in the IV Assemblée Général Peuls Wodaabe du Niger in Tagayet and is introduced to the governor of Tahoa, Ceti Meiga, the mayor of Bermo, Malam Omarou, and Mohamed Abderraman Seyou, customs colonel. The assistance was of 15.000 pastoralists.
- Financing the repair of the well Almahadi Amad (tuareg) in the Oueidashadi zone. 60 members compose the family.
- Diko Asadek (Tuareg) has not done the repairs accorded and financed in his well.
- Purchase of the well Lamou-Mokao for the family of Doula Mokao’s wife.
- Financing the reconstruction of the Belel Tadebout well.
 
2009
- Financing of a communal orchard of 500 m2 with irrigation by dripping in Taggodoum with its metallic fence.
- Annual food provision for the canteen service of the Association des Handicapées Locomoteurs of Agadez, with Massalabi Abdou as president.
- Provision and delivery of medicines to the Hospital Regional of Agadez and the Hospital of Bermo.
- In cooperation with the Rotary Club Barcelona Europe, cementation and repair of the Inifi-Bermo well owned by Tambaya Yallaudo (500 persons) situated 12 km. from Bermo-Dakoro.
- Conclusion of the reparation of Almahadi Amad's well in Queidashodi, north of Bermo.
- Conclusion of the second phase in the construction of Belel Tadegout well.

2010
- Reparation of the Shinagoro well which was bought by the association in 2007 for Bado Wagaya family, placed 14 km. from Aderbissanat.
- Contribution to the Association des Handicapeés Locomoteurs de Agadez.
- Delivery of medicines to the Regional Hospital of Agadez.
- Cementation and building of 4 thoughs in the well Izerane II, south of Foudouk, which belongs to the family of Nassamou Malam and was bought by our association.
- Financing of the reparation of the Belga well, situated 100 km. in the north east of the Abala Fillingué road.
- Reparation of the Didiga well, placed 140 km. north east of Abala.
- Repair and building of 4 drinking thoughs for the Ingoursoumane well belonging to the Dali family in Taggoudoum.
 
2011
- Contribution to the Association des Handicapeés Locomoteurs de Agadez.
- Delivery of medicines to the Regional Hospital of Agadez.
 
Requests
- Finishing of the Awjit well, situated 17 km. east of Injigaran and 7 km. from Foudouk.
- Reparation of the Madararou Ego well.

Due to the support and actions of our Association more than 15.000 people together with their herds have safe water supply.
 
As consequence, schools have been created in several settlements: Foudouk, Ingaga, Egharaf, Taggoudoum, Izerane I and Shinagoro.
